An AI post generator takes a topic and returns a finished social post — copy, design, caption. The category has exploded, and most roundups compare the wrong things: template counts and feature grids instead of the question that actually decides whether you can publish the output under your own name.
That question: does the AI know anything about your business, or is it improvising? Ungrounded generators produce confident, generic posts — and, too often, invented numbers. We've written before about where AI genuinely helps and where it fails; this list applies that lens to the tools.

1. PostPop — best for posts that sound like your business
PostPop (ours) scrapes your website into a brand kit and grounds every generation in your site's real text — services, offers, story. It writes slides, caption and hashtags in one of ten templates, and it never invents a statistic: anything number-like gets flagged for your review instead of published. 2. Predis.ai — best for a hands-off pipeline

3. Canva Magic Studio — best inside a design workflow
Canva's Magic Write and Magic Design bolt AI onto the world's most popular design tool. Strong if you're already a Canva person and want drafts to edit; you still assemble and finish the post yourself. Our take: PostPop vs Canva.
4. Ocoya — best for calendar-first teams
Ocoya attaches AI generation to a scheduling and analytics core. Right pick when the calendar is the center of your workflow and generation is a convenience, not the point.
5. ContentStudio — best for multi-channel managers
ContentStudio is a social management suite — inbox, planning, analytics — with AI writing included. Like Ocoya, it's a system you adopt, not a tool you dip into; agencies managing many channels get the most from it.
6. Buffer's AI Assistant — best free add-on to a scheduler you already use
Buffer added an AI assistant to its well-liked scheduler. It writes text variations and repurposes posts; it doesn't design carousels or build brand kits. If Buffer already runs your posting, the assistant is a free-ish upgrade rather than a reason to switch.
The invented-stats problem, briefly
Generative models pattern-match. Asked for a persuasive post, they'll produce "studies show 73% of…" with no study behind it — and on a feed under your name, one caught fabrication costs more than a hundred good posts earn. Whatever tool you pick, either it guarantees flagged-not-invented numbers (that's PostPop's rule) or your review step has to.
Verdict: match the tool to your bottleneck
- Posts take too long to make → PostPop or Canva Magic Studio.
- Posts take too long to publish → Predis, Ocoya, ContentStudio, Buffer.
- Posts don't sound like you → grounding is the feature to shop for; try it on your own site and read the output critically.
