Edit a slide by hand

Click the thing you want to change, right on the slide. Move it, resize it, recolour it, delete it — or add text the generator never wrote.

Do it in 5 steps

1

Open the post

Library → the post → Edit slides. Custom-template posts are rendered from your own HTML, so they are edited there instead.

2

Click what you want to change

Point at the slide and elements outline as you pass them. Click one and a ring appears around it, exactly where the renderer drew it.

3

Change it

Size up or down in steps, recolour from your palette, or place it and drag it anywhere. Every change re-renders through the real renderer, so what you see is what downloads.

4

Add your own text

Up to six pieces per slide — a price, a date, a disclaimer, anything the generator had no way to know. Drag it where you want it.

5

Delete, or reset

Deleting generated copy hides it, so Reset always brings it back. Text you wrote really deletes, because there is no original to return to. The panel tells you which is about to happen.

What you can change

Six elements on most slides, plus anything you add.

Place it and drag

An element lifted out of the layout can go anywhere on the slide. Size steps in 12% increments — enough to rescue a title that nearly fits, bounded so a deck cannot become something the template never anticipated.

Your palette only

The swatches are your brand kit’s colours, and the server refuses anything else. A free colour picker is how a brand kit stops meaning anything.

Words we never wrote

The one thing in the editor with no generated original — so it is also the one thing that truly deletes. Six per slide, 180 characters each.

TIP
The preview is the export. Not a picture of it — the same renderer, at a smaller size. That is why what you see cannot drift from what lands in your folder, and it is also why clicking took work: a browser receives one flat image, so the renderer now reports where it drew each element.

A cover that nearly worked

A headline one line too long, colliding with the button — and the same cover with the title stepped down one size and moved up.

Before — the title runs into the button

One line too long, and the call to action sits underneath it.

After — one size down, moved up

Two clicks in the editor. The download matches exactly.

Common questions

Can I change the font?+
No, and deliberately. Fonts come from your brand kit; a free font picker is how a brand kit stops meaning anything.
What happens to the highlighted phrase if I move the title?+
It loses the accent colour. The highlight only works where the template lays the title out — send it back to the layout and it returns.
Do my edits reach the download?+
Yes. Preview, thumbnails, single-size export and the zip all start from the same slide and the same edits.
Can I click every element?+
On most slides, yes. A few layouts draw their own content — a listicle’s numbered items, for instance — and there you use the element list, which reaches everything on every slide.
Is it included in my plan?+
Creator and every lifetime tier. Free accounts can open the editor and try everything; saving is the step that needs a plan.
