Any carousel in your Library will do, and it does not have to be new. A single-image post has nothing to pace, so the video option is simply absent there rather than present and refusing — if you cannot see it, count the slides.
The panel shows how long the video will run and roughly how large the file will be, BEFORE you export. That is deliberate. A 15-second video and a 50-second one are different posts, and finding out which you made after the download is the wrong order.
Normal reads at about fifteen characters a second, which is close to how fast people actually read a phone screen. Slower and Faster move every slide together, so the rhythm stays even. Change it and the length at the top changes with it — nothing is hidden until afterwards.
You get one MP4 at 1080×1920. That is the same canvas Instagram Stories and Reels, TikTok and YouTube Shorts all use, so one file posts to all of them without re-cropping. The safe area is the same as for a still, because the apps draw the same interface over both.
The file has no audio track, on purpose. Every platform has a music library with the rights already cleared, and a track baked into a file by us would be the wrong track with the wrong licence. Upload the video, pick the sound there — it takes one tap and it is the step everyone does anyway.
This is pacing, not animation. The difference matters.
A short quote does not sit on screen for six seconds, and a long step is not gone before anyone has finished it. The hold is calculated from the text on the slide, which is why the holds in one video differ from each other.
However many slides it has and however many seconds it runs. A video is the same post in a different container — not ten posts, not a new allowance, nothing extra to buy.
Your slides do not fly in, spin or morph. PostPop renders a still beautifully and holds it; there is no timeline to key-frame and we are not becoming an animation tool. If you want effects, the MP4 drops into any editor.
One deck, two pacings. Even timing is the thing that reads as a slideshow.
The two-word cover sits there; the long step is gone before anyone finishes it. It reads as a slideshow.
Short slide, short hold. Long slide, long hold. It reads as something somebody timed.
