Voice lock teaches PostPop how your brand sounds, from three example posts. It cannot express "never say game-changer", "use en dashes, not em dashes", or "cite sources in APA on the last slide".
Those are rules, not examples. Now there is a place for them.
Rules for this brand
Your brand kit has a Rules box. One instruction per line:
Never use the words "revolutionary" or "game-changer".
Use en dashes (–), never em dashes (—).
End every carousel with a source in APA style.
Address the reader as "you", never "we".Every line is handed to the AI as its own instruction, and they apply to every post, every idea and every caption from that kit.
Why one per line matters: a paragraph of prose gets summarised, and half of it quietly disappears. Six short lines all survive. The box counts them back to you, so you can see what the AI was actually told.
One honest caveat. Rules make something very unlikely, not impossible. If a line must hold every single time — a legal disclaimer, a compliance sentence — put it in your CTA text instead. That is printed word for word and never rewritten.
Caption length
Captions were always "2–4 sentences". That is right for Instagram, too short for a coach writing a teaching post, and too long for a single strong image.
Four lengths now: Short (1–2 sentences), Standard (2–4), Long (5–8) and Very long (9–14, an essay under the post).
Set a default on your brand kit, or change it for one post next to Tone — marked ·kit so it is obvious which one your brand already chose. Standard is exactly what you had before, so a kit that never touches this generates what it always did.
Both are included on every plan that has brand kits.
